TASK - Lockdown - Goals

Life can be a struggle on daily basis. Especially when you are stuck at home doing nothing or you're too busy doing something. I have been in both situations. The one I am currently at is 'home doing nothing' apart from online coaching and being with people due to lockdown (Phase 2). I am doing Precision nutrition course now. I don't study everyday because I don't usually be motivated to open a book. One day, I opened it up and MOTIVATION was in the book. What was so true was that 'Motivation comes after action'. You don't know until you take a minute and realise it.

I have now realised that I need to make time to open up the book even if it's for 10 minutes. It is all the same as when you go to the gym for 20 minutes instead of an hour because you're too busy or unmotivated. It is better than nothing. If you have goals, go for it. Set up a brainstorm and come up with as many ideas as you can and shorten it down. Take the time to see what you can do now to get you moving forward.

For example, mine is opening up Precision nutrition book and aim to have one chapter read, highlight and use the workbook to quiz myself. If it's a bad day then take a day off or just read a chapter and hold off the highlight and workbook until tomorrow. Like I said, it's better than doing nothing.

As we are all stuck in during lockdown, limited place are opened. Don't know what to do to reach your goals during lockdown?

Find out what you can do NOW to be prepared and ready to do the next task when the lockdown ends.

For example : I want to open up a gym one day. How can I start now? Start by setting up saving account. Start looking at locations, have ideas where you'd like to open up. Start looking up gym equipment, know which brand is the best and reliable. Find average price to purchase equipment you'd need. Check if you can get a loan, if so what documents do you need? Write a list of things in order so you know what you need to do next.

Have all that prepared and ready as once lockdown ends.

Don't wait until it's over when you can do the small things at home to have it ready!!

Why don't you try it yourself right now.

*Sit down for 5 minutes - get pen and paper ready*

Ask yourself this ..

  1. What is your goal in life? Short term and long term.
  2. What can you do right now about the short term and long term goal? Brainstorm, google, ask questions, elaborate ideas.
  3. What can you do this week to complete the task?
  4. Where do I want to purchase this/ look at/ which is reliable?
  5. How much do I want to put into this, how much do I need?

SAMPLE

Here is a sample of what my goal in life was - 'Opening up my own gym' - not the best brainstorm. I don't know about you but prefer the old fashioned way which is pen and paper as it's faster. I'm that type of gal that use colourful pens and nice layout designs rather than the google docs/ canva site.

BRAINSTORM / MINDMAP

I have copied the link down below if you like to try out mind-mapping online for free. I personally think 'Canva' is the best as I have used it on many occasions for price listings, workout templates, logo etc.
