About Me

Hello, my name is Katlyn Griffin. I am a qualified personal trainer, studying Precision Nutrition at the moment. Fitness industry has been my passion since I was 16 years old. It all started with the awful experience which was the bulimic/anorexic phase. I was not diagnosed with it, thankfully I was not at the dangerous point. I have suffered from it for 3 months which may seem short but very long for me. I managed to overcome it as something have snapped into my head. Ever since then, I have changed my diet to a 'health freak' which I'm not going to lie, was obsessive. I was having no fizzy drinks, Ribena (even though they barely count as calories), no chocolate, I was having no sugar in my diet. My meals consist of oats/ thin toast with bananas, baby potatoes with half plate of vegetables and small portion of meat. I then started to go for a jog, every second day without skipping even in the lashing rain. I have been doing abs workout every day also. Now that sounds like a lot. Was it the right path to go down for me? No but better than before.
I started to join the gym, I've studied online EVERYWHERE that "you need to eat more to lose weight". Now what does that mean? Well, for example if I only ate 2 meals a day such as breakfast cereals and bowl of soup, automatically the body will go into starvation mode which causes metabolism to slow down causing body to store food as fat. Organs won't be able to function properly, deficiencies will occur such as low iron. Whereas, when you eat the RIGHT amount of calories suited to your goals, you will then get results that you want.
Ever since then, it has made me realised that I wanted to become a Personal Trainer. I studied at Image Fitness which was an amazing course, as the course consists of important information, no dragging necessary facts. I wanted to be able to help and change my clients lifestyle. As soon as I started Online Coaching, I fell in love as I see so much positive feedback's, amazing results from before and after, learning new trial and errors, to have that bond with each of my clients.
